The Institute for Philosophy in Public Life is an academic unit of The University of North Dakota College of Arts & Sciences. It is considered independent research activity under the auspices of its Principle Investigator/Director, Dr. Jack Russell Weinstein. IPPL is non-partisan and unaffiliated with any other groups, except insofar as those groups or their members apply to work on projects with IPPL.

IPPL does not speak for UND nor does it represent UND’s opinions, personal, political, institutional, or otherwise. UND does not, in turn, speak for or represent IPPL.

As a unit of UND, IPPL is a 401-C3 non-profit, and all donations are tax-deductible. It’s accounting and fiscal oversite are managed by the UND Alumni Association in accordance with all relevant regulations.
